Folders: the New Binder

3 subject notebooks don't work in college, guys. Ha, literally, your once 3-subject notebook is now just your 1st semester notebook for 1 STEM course (like chemistry/human anatomy and physiology/biology/whatever else).  I do just fine for 1 subject notebooks (cheapies or $2.00) in psycology, american dream course for freshman, stats, foundations in american history... I don't stick to online notebooks as well.  But I write a lot online - essays! Could be why, also, for humanites courses w/ 1 subject notebook //half of the assignments are online, but chemistry, it's all paper and I'm less versed in STEM. But binders are overwhelming.  Too much for my brain to think - oh, okay. I'll just work with this section. HA! But guess what Folders are nice.  The 3 prong binder i recently praised, but now, baby, I'm talking about 5 purple folders for biology - a different 33cent binder or reused from previous school years for each unit!
it's only day 1 of winter and I'm doing horribly
Why I love my haircut I gave it to myself! Everyone notices it! It is individual but exciting! I can still wear a full ponytail It's the shortest it's ever been upfront It's unique but traditional It's me it's how I want to present myself to the world right now I am encouraged to wear more shoulder-showy, collar- boney, v-necky shirts

Minimalism : Start at Reasonable

Say it with me: What minimalism looks like for one person will look different for the next What Minimalism Could Be:  Minimalism has different levels Minimalism can start with "less stuffed," move onto "reasonable," and finally feel different at: "wow, this extra space feels great, I can breathe again." Anything after that is more like a personal statement and a great challenge! That is not the end goal to shoot for if your home base is in a neighborhood . Don't bring your mindset here if: you genuinely like and have the internal fulfillment from having 5 pairs of tennis shoes and 5 pairs of dress shoes.   What Minimalism Isn't: Minimalism is not one color palette Minimalism is not not having enough dishes for guests when they come over I challenge you to apply "minimalism" to the average, everyday person's lifestyle. A family will need stuff, like boxes for extra coats, winter wardrobe, and event outfits, some toys from childhood,...

Sentiments and Stuff

Are you disgusted by the amount of stuff that surrounds you? The amount of stuff in each house you can't imagine that's all in just your neighborhood alone?  Sentiments and Stuff I have so many feelings about the material noise that's connected to me.  I know what I feel joy about, and I know where there's shame or overwhelm.  Like, the used copy of The Notebook on my bookshelf is so KEEP! But then the 20 books with pretty covers that I won't read but were gifted to me by someone I'm not close to: OBLIGATED TO KEEP: / Biggest Point to Take Home: Hunk away at it.  My suggestion:  - Start with what you know is just "eh."  Work through the "eh" for months!   Just start sticking 1 cardboard box on the edge of the table. When it fills up, stick it in your trunk. Repeat.  My tweak: Happy Donation Box -Use a box or bag you feel comfortable carrying.                -don't stuff it to where you can't carry it ...
